The statue is called the <strong>Blessing Christ<\/strong>. The 8.5 meters tall and 50 tons heavy work resembles to Christ the Redeemer <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Christ_the_Redeemer_(statue)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Rio de Janeiro<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can walk to the monument via a shorter 377 meters route, or a longer, 561 meters route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Reaching the top of the hill, you will enjoy a full panoramic view to the village, vineyards and nearby <a href=\"https:\/\/nlc.hu\/szabadido\/20180731\/sziklafal-felmaszott-tarcali-banyato-tuzoltok-megmentettek\/\" target=\"_self\">lake<\/a>. You may see the Alf\u00f6ld on the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue is part of the 1400 km long Central European pilgrimage, called the M\u00e1ria-\u00fat. A small levander field attracts the eyes around the statue, especially when flowering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will not be disappointed if arriving in the evening, because the illuminated work paints a completely ethereal picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue is open all time. The route is well-signed, even from the main road of Tarcal. The municipality organizes electric vehicles to take elderly and disabled people to the statue on weekends and holidays. The pick-up point is at the parking lot of K\u00f6nyves K\u00e1lm\u00e1n \u00fat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>R\u00e1k\u00f3czi Castle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Castle of Szerencs is the youngest castle of the county, located in the \"Gate of Hegyalja\". The castle is open to visitors with a rebuilt palace wing and a beautiful panorama. Megyer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The famous tarn of Mt. Megyer is located over the ancient town of S\u00e1rospatak (also called the \"Bodrog-side Athens\"). This tarn arose<strong>&nbsp;in an abandoned millstone mine.&nbsp;<\/strong>The accumulating rainwater&nbsp;<strong>created a lake<\/strong>&nbsp;among the&nbsp;<strong>rock walls formed during the mining<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>of millstones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you can try the fourth largest via ferrata route in Hungary with different difficulty levels. The route is 650 meters long on the steep rock wall. Magas, a mountain towering over S\u00e1toralja\u00fajhely. Try the cable car, the sliding ropeway between two mountains or the climbing wall center. The Adventure Park is open in all seasons.
